In order to have a better understanding of waterfront spaces and its development, we were broken up into groups and assigned a specific waterfront to research. The group I was part of chose the Seattle Waterfront.
Good job :) I`m glad you did this analysis,I think it is essential input in your assignment. Seattle is just one example. European cities also offer quite diverse examples of waterfront (sea or river) architecture and public space, you can always refer to Barcelona, Rotterdam, Paris, London , Copenhagen etc etc.... I hope you will learn something from them.
I`d like to add one more thing. It is good that you explored the history and the future development of Seattle waterfront. But I still think that in this kind of analysis it is always more useful when you do your own sketches and diagrams according to the photos and plans that you have found. Using photos is nothing more than that everyone can find browsing the web. I always like the combination: some comments, lines and arrows placed on them will work quite fine.
Congratulations. This is a resumed yet comprehensive analysis on the Seattle waterfront that I am certain will give you a better understanding of the dynamics of cities and their close relation with masses of water and will help in the next steps of your work. However I have to subscribe Elena's opinion: you should add more of your personal input into the analysis. Adding sketches/drawings and sketched diagrams would enrich the analysis and would be beneficial to your understanding on the dynamics of waterfronts. Maybe you can incorporate some of your sketches in the following phases.
